Here’s how they work!
How somethingfor.me works
somethingfor.me is a gift box shop built on a poem and an idea. Every box follows a rhyme that begins (something you want, something you need, something to write, something special indeed), and every line represents a hand-picked gift for a special friend or family member or you!
1. Choose your box. Pick Just A Sprinkle, The Mini Treat, A Little Something, Something More or The Giftapalooza for her or choose from two gift boxes for him. You can also choose the items in each gift box for yourself. Just choose one of the Pick 3, 5, 7, or 10 gift boxes. Tell me the occasion, and share a few favorites (and anything to skip) on the questionnaire at checkout.
2. Complete the questionnaire at checkout. When you add this box to your cart, a short questionnaire will pop up. Tell me a little about your person (favorite colors, what they love, anything to skip), and I'll use it to pick from each ribbon so their box feels made just for them.
3. I pull the ribbons. Each line of our poem has its own wrapped gift box full of ribbons. For every line, I pull a ribbon — and at the end of each ribbon is a tag naming the treasure that goes in your box. Watch the pulls live on Instagram or Facebook!
4. I add the sprinkles. Little extras tucked in for good measure: one in Just a Sprinkle, two in The Mini Treat and A Little Something, four to five in Something More and The Giftapalooza.
5. Wrapped with care. Each gift carries its rhyme tag so the poem guides the unboxing. Choose "Wrap every gift" and every treasure is individually wrapped and tied with the very ribbon I pulled.
6. On its way. Your box ships to you or straight to your favorite person, with your gift note tucked inside. Local to Fort Collins? Pick it up for free!

How somethingfor.me came to be
Hi, my name is Dana. I've been a singer and voice teacher my entire career, and I still love both. But I have another great love: giving gifts and celebrating special moments and seasons with fun surprises that bring joy and remind the people I love just how much I love them.
Every major holiday was a chance to build a special box for each of my children. I curated every one around their tastes, hobbies and wishes, and I loved wrapping each gift. To me, the presentation was just as important as the gift itself. The tradition began with my own mother, and I've carried on her legacy, with maybe a bit more extravagance.
We all have people and moments worth celebrating, but not everyone loves choosing the gifts as much as I do. That's why I started somethingfor.me: to help you send the perfect gift box for any occasion, and maybe pick out a little something for yourself.
The name says it all: somethingfor.me… and you… but also me. Send a box to someone who deserves a little joy, and don't forget to treat yourself, too.

How long until my box ships?
Boxes ship within 3–5 business days of your order. You'll get a tracking link as soon as it's on its way.
Can I send a box straight to someone else?
Of course. Add their address at checkout and include a gift note. Prices are never included in the box.
Can I choose what goes in my box?
Yes! Choose a Build Your Own Gift Box and pick a gift for every line, or let me pull ribbons or curate your gift for a surprise.
What if the recipient has allergies or scent sensitivities?
Let me know at checkout. I'll leave out scented or sensitive items and pull again.
Will fragile items arrive safely?
Mugs, candles and glass are wrapped and padded with care before they're boxed up.
Can I return or exchange a box?
Because every box is hand-pulled and personalized, all sales are final. If anything arrives damaged, message me within 7 days with a photo and I'll make it right.
Where do you ship?
Within the United States only
Will my gift be spoiled online?
Only if you agree to video your ribbon pull! I only share ribbon pulls when you give permission, first names only. You can list your preferences when you buy your gift box.
